With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Malloy of Courtenay, British Columbia, who passed away on September 18, 2021 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Ken Giles; and her sister Marie Philips. She is survived by: her children, Charles Jeffrey Sabean and Teressa Lynn Mirault; her sister Elizabeth Hansen; her nephew Steven; her brother Dave Malloy; and also Fernand Samson. She is also survived by four children (great grandchildren).

A celebration of her life to follow in late spring at her favorite place in the world, Puntzi Lake, B.C. The family asks in lieu of flowers to please donate in her memory to the Red Cross or your favorite animal shelter.

I found one of her letters today that she wrote to my mother, Norah, shortly after marrying Ken. She sounded so happy as if she was given new life. I'll always remember her generosity, her wicked smile and her worlds-best cheesecake. I hope my Mom and she have found each other now. Take care, both of you, Ange (Ottawa)”
