With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine Shopland of Courtenay, British Columbia, born in Vancouver, British Columbia, who passed away on November 27, 2023 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Katherine Shopland to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Janes and Gladys Janes (McQuillan); her sister-in-law Audreynn Edin; her siblings, Bert Janes and Phyllis Hatfield (Doris Valdivia); and her siblings-in-law, Joyce Janes and Ray Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Katherine, Barb (Stan), Doug (April) and Patricia (Gerry); her grandchildren, Dawn Larissa (John), Stacey (Pat), Kristopher (Christina), Sarah (Rod), Amy (Glen), Kelly (Galyn) and Emily (Cory); her siblings, Earl Janes of Duncan, BC and Margaret Smith of Calgary, AB; her siblings-in-law, Darlene Janes of Courtenay and John Hatfield of Courtenay; and her son Larry Rennison (Terry). She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
