It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Edward Benson (Courtenay, British Columbia), born in Ottawa, Ontario, who passed away on October 25, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Robert Ashley and Alice Lorna Benson (Day). He is survived by: his brothers, Robert Benson (Janet) and John Benson (Nancy); his wife Karen; his children, Andrea Benson (Dean McDougall), Jared Benson (Deanna) and Sarah Benson (Darren Burtis); his grandchildren, Douglas McDougall (Sondra) and Caroline McDougall; and his children, Aidan Burtis, Rowan Burtis, Alexander, James, Nicholas and William Benson. He is also survived by loving father and grandfather.
