We are sad to announce that on March 20, 2025, at the age of 95, Edna Ruth Whitworth (Courtenay, British Columbia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Edna Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Edna Ruth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lilburn Hunt and Ila Ruth Hunt; and her daughters, Carol Ann Nelson and Lynda McNabb (Floyd Hunt). She is survived by: her grandchildren, Rachel Johnston (Andy), Jimmy Jay Johnston (Jessica), Jason Hargreaves and Jeremy Hargreaves (Tammy). She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephew.
