She is survived by: her husband Gerd Scheurig; her daughters, Natalie Walker (Jeremy) and Stephanie Hudson (Robert); her grandchildren, Logan Walker, Jenna Walker, Olivia Hudson, Coralie Hudson and Cole Hudson; her brother Nick Wareing; her nieces, Emily Wareing and Sarah Wareing; and her cousins, Roger Stonebanks and Helen Ayers (family: Chip Woodward, Gay Woodward, Amy Woodward, Alex Woodward, Ziggy Woodward).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Catherine's honor may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the SPCA, organizations close to her heart.
