“Merle was a pal & a trooper. We worked together at Vancouver Folk Music Festival for many years, her with Access committee, me with Security. Together with a (very) few others (CW) we advocated for, created & maintained dedicated stage areas for anyone with mobility or hearing challenges. She was our fierce dragon-slayer, not known for mincing words or pulling punches when such was needed, but would (usually) listen to cooler heads if it benefited the strategy. So much more could be said.”
