He was predeceased by: his parents, Marguerite Lenzen and George Purves. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his children, Diane (Bill), Sharon (Matt), Brian and Glen (Marla); and his grandchildren, Richard, David, Leo, Madeleine, Isabella and Cameron. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
