He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Fairbrother and George Fairbrother; his siblings, Edmund, Donald, George "Bill" Fairbrother and Frances Scribner; and his children, Lucinda and Steven Fairbrother.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his daughters, Jolene Fairbrother (Alex), Deborah Saleem (Adnan) and Sharon Haslam (Andy); his grandchildren, Talia, Aidan Ansdell, Yusuf, Osman Saleem, Mark Haslam (Hilda) and Kathryn Lupton; his great grandchild Ellie Haslam; and his brother Eric Fairbrother. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
