Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Valerie Iwalani Spencer Bright of Comox, British Columbia, born in Edmonton, Alberta, who passed away at the age of 75, on July 31, 2023. She is survived by: her friend Rick Sanborn (Hawaii) of Holualoa; her sister Susan; her brother-in-law Alan Lanyon of Merville; her nephew Spencer Lanyon (Kim Sanchez) of Port Alberni; her cousins, Dorothy Spencer and Linda Windel; and her friends, Janet, Carolyn, Georgie, Jill, Brian and Jenni.
She became involved in the community, volunteering with public health at Baby Clinics, School Clinics and Covid vaccination clinics.
