He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Smallwood and Ivy Smallwood; and his wife Eileen Elizabeth. He is survived by: his children, Linda Smallwood (David Reid) of Michigan, Robert Smallwood of Edmonton and Brigitte Elgie (Jeffery) of Chatham. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
