He was predeceased by: his wife Fay Madreen Patterson; and his siblings, Robert Gibb Patterson (Norma) and Doreen MacDonald (John). He is survived by: his son Gregory Reid Patterson; and his cousins, Alester, Bruce, Cameron and Donna. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
