Joyce Jacqueline Booker Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 29, 2024, at the age of 94, Joyce Jacqueline Booker (Chilliwack, British Columbia) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joyce Jacqueline Booker to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Howard Booker (Chuck); her father Richard Russell Cope (Mother Christine Cope); and her siblings, Clifford, Lorraine Smithson and Beryl Arnold.

She is survived by: her sons, Brent and Douglas; her daughters-in-law, Barb and Nona; her grandchildren, Nika Booker-Grandea, Lisa Stewart and Steven Patterson; her great grandchildren, Joshua Heyes, Jordan Patterson and Judah Booker McVey; her great great grandchildren, Holden and Harlen; and her sister Shirley Bell. She is also survived by 30 nieces and nephews.

She was in the choir for many years, she was active in the United Church Women for many decades and until the Church thrift shop was closed as a result of the pandemic she volunteered there every Friday for many years, always bringing home the odd treasure to further fill her closets and drawers.

She was always proud of the fact that her lifetime of service was recognized in 2007, with the Bread and Roses Award for outstanding contributions to Community.
