Josephine Elisabeth Treffers Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate Josephine Elisabeth Treffers of Chilliwack, British Columbia, whose life came to an end on December 29, 2024 at the age of 95, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband John Vollebregt; her siblings, Ida, Frida, Willie, Richard, Dini and Bert; and her brothers-in-law, Hans Treffers and John Vollebregt.

She is survived by: her daughters, Maryann Treffers and Jackie Cross (Patrick); her grandchildren, Connor, Braedan and Kerri (Jacob); and her stepdaughters, Cori Plante (Eric), Cathy Dureen (Mel) and Jenny Adolph. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

As this happened at the beginning of Covid, she was separated from her family and friends during her rehabilitation and ultimately placed in long term card.

She was a Meals on Wheels volunteer, helped offload the burden of care from families suffering from Alzheimer's, volunteered at Minter Gardens, and many other community endeavours.
