He was predeceased by: his wife Betty; his brother George; and his close friend Dithers. He is survived by: his daughter Cathy; his son-in-law Doug; his grandsons, Justin (Teresa) and Andrew (Amy); his great grandchildren, Matthew, Paige and Ada; his brother Horace (Diana); his nephew Ed (Liz); his nieces, Jennifer (Ted) and Angela (Randy); his goddaughter Diane (Bryan); his daughter Gerda; and his nieces, Edna and Patricia (Peter).
