He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Fairhurst and Ida Fairhurst of Medicine Hat; his brother John (Jack); and his sister-in-law Elsie of Regina, Saskatchewan.. He is survived by: his son Bob (Nancy); his daughter-in-law Nancy; his wife Doreen; his brother Bob (Rita); his children, Deborah (Brian) and Doug; his grandsons, Michael and Christopher; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew (Lindsay) and Sarah (Nathan); and also Lyla.
