He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Beverly Syrette; his children, Teddy Syrette (Sylvan), Trisha Syrette and Tommilyn McCoy (Jeremy); his parents, Theodore Richard Syrette and Marguerite Stella Syrette; his siblings, Evelyn Bannerman, Gerald Syrette, Randy Syrette (Mary), Vincent Syrette and Valery Catchpole (Mark); and his siblings-in-law, Roseanna McCoy, Linda Herriman (late James), Herb McCoy (Deb), Marlene McCoy (Dave) and Donna McCoy (Max).
