He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Margaret. He is survived by: his children, Mary Margaret (Morley Johnson), Richard Bruce (Lynne Freed) and Catherine Helen (Ted Murchison); his grandchildren, Cameron Johnson (Vanessa) and Sheena Wilbur (Colin); his daughters, Alexandria McCorkindale, Victoria McCorkindale, Sonja Murchison (Paul Lin) and Jacqueline Murchison; and his great grandchildren, Willow Johnson, Rowena Johnson and Arthur Wilbur.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the BC Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon.
