Janice Rickey Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice Rickey of Campbell River, British Columbia, born in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, who passed away on March 21, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Harold Tufford. She is survived by: her children, Melissa (Gavin) and Peter (Rene); her grandchildren, Zoe (Curran), Jasmine (Spencer), Zackery and Mya; her siblings, Louise (Garth), Joan, Cathy (Alan), Bob (Cathy) and Don (Hazel); her mother Anne Tufford; and her husband Robert Rickey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and treasured friends.

She enjoyed bringing her love of language to tutor ESL students new to Canada and also worked for the Campbell River Community Foundation for a time.
