It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raisa Svirinovski of Burnaby, British Columbia, who passed away on August 2, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Raisa departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Raisa may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Raisa leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Fuks and Dvoira Fuks; and her siblings. She is survived by: her daughter Dr. Alla Nikonova (Andrey); her granddaughter Dr. Olga Falmier (Matt); and her great grandchildren, Martin Falmier, Hope Falmier, adoptive daughter Olga Kanariov (Rod) and their children Katia and Konstantine.
