With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Darlene Jean (Perrie) Smith (Burnaby, British Columbia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 4, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Darlene Jean's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Darlene Jean has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George and Jean. She is survived by: her husband Bill Russell; her daughter Denise Praill (Mark); and her granddaughter Heather.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Ocean View Funeral Home (4000 Imperial St, Burnaby, BC V5J1A4).
In lieu of flowers, donations to honour Darlene would be appreciated to BC Cancer Foundation, Canuck Place Children's Hospice or New Stride Thoroughbred Adoption Society.
