He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth and Gerhard; and his siblings, Henry, Jack, Nick, Louise, Peggy, Mary and Katharina (Ruby).
He is survived by: his daughters, Verlaine (Bryan) and Angela (Dorothy); his wife Dorothy; his stepchildren, Kelly (Larry) and Dan (Kim); his grandchildren, Haley and Mikayla; his stepgrandchildren, Mikel, Brody, Lucas and Ethan; and his siblings, Vern (Darlene), Helen (Dennis), Agnes, George (Erna) and Marge (Bernie).
