Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Balzer (Abbotsford, British Columbia), born in Eyebrow, Saskatchewan, who passed away at the age of 87, on March 14, 2024. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Balzer and Sarah Balzer; his wife Bertha Balzer (Loewen); his former wife Isabelle Balzer (Cooper-Newall); his son-in-law Gordie Newall; and his siblings, Dora (John), Mary, Verna (Peter), Walter (Marion), Jake (Esther) and Dan.
He is survived by: his children, Marilyn Rose, Glenn Balzer (Rita) and Kyle Balzer (Monica); his grandsons, Jon and Joel; his children, Quinten Balzer (Michaelya) and Sharon Balzer Pound; his grandchildren, Lille, Rocco, Scarlett and Hayven; his daughter-in-law Joanne Newall; his son Scott (Allysha); and his grandchildren, Rowan and Freya. He is also survived by one sister and many nieces, nephews and their children.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory can be made to Mennonite Central Committee and just like John lived his life, give of your time, talent and treasures and consider volunteering in your local community.
