He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Reimer and Margaret Reimer (Penner); his brothers, Donald Reimer and Gerald Reimer; his daughter Judith Marie Reimer; and his granddaughter Leah Rene Reimer.

He is survived by: his wife Noreen Marie Reimer (Wiebe); his children, Marcia (Tim), Debby (Doug) and Ross (Wendy); his grandchildren, David, Sara, Erin, Elizabeth (Nathan), Allison (Tim), Alex, Riley (Eric), Jillian and Taya; his great grandchildren, Jack, Charlie, Austin and Elliott; and his sister Grace Betzold (Ken). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
