With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Penny Hansen of Whitecourt, Alberta, born in Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 1, 2024 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herb Harkness and Het Harkness; her siblings, Adry Harkness and Isabell Harkness; and her former husband Earl Buckler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lynda Ekdahl (Ron) and Myra Egli (Charles); her grandchildren, Derek Ekdahl, Devin Ekdahl (Bonnie), Christa Egli and Chad Egli; her great grandchildren, Paige Ekdahl (Brody Bobilek) and Nathan Ekdahl; and her sister-in-law Margie Harkness. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
