He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Bailer and Lena Bailer; his siblings, William, Martha, Henry, Laura Sudau, Bessie Zielke, Gordon, Robert and James; his granddaughter Melanie Bailer; and his son-in-law Carey Losinski.
He is survived by: his sons, Doug (Angela) and Allen (Camille); his wife Bert; his daughter Joan Losinski; his grandchildren, Stephanie Boeve (Ray), Craig Bailer, Kelly Orchard (Dan), Lori Hannay (Clyde) and Tara Dickau (Jody); his brother Reg (Marion); and also, Lane Boeve, Shelby Boeve, Brock Layton, Seth Bailer, Emily Orchard (Justin Johnson), Noah Orchard, Kyle Orchard, Eric Hannay, Tyler Dickau, Brayden Dickau, Jeff Bailer, Chris Bailer (Kaylee), Kaitlyn Bailer (Bryce Piacentini), Allen, Brody, Sloane Bailer, Raymond and Tillie Krause.
