He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon; his parents, Duncan MacRae and Frances MacRae; and his sisters, Nellie Anne L'Hirondelle and Elizabeth Eva Kovacs.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Pearson (Lorne) and Tammy Thiessen (Steve); his grandchildren, Kristina Squarebriggs (Marcel), Alex Kovacs, Annalise Semenoff, Lorinda Thiessen and Jonathan Thiessen (Alyssa); his great grandchildren, Aiden, Jaizen, Raema, Malachi, Ealdraed and Hazel; and his siblings, Jessie Shantz and George MacRae. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Tim's name can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
