He was predeceased by: his brother Anton "Tony" Kostiuk. He is survived by: his wife Rose; his children, Susan Bawol (Morris), Marian Preshing (Jim), Sandra Coventry (Henry Skjerven), David Kostiuk (Sandy) and Larry Kostiuk (Tammy); his grandchildren, Dale, Steven, Kevin Bawol, Cheryl Fedunec, Julie, Lynn Coventry, Jillian Schmidt, Kyle and Shylee Kostiuk; his great grandchildren, Wyatt Fedunec, Ally, Nolan Bawol and Grace Schmidt; and his child Olek. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral (10825 97 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5H2M4). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (5113 49 Ave, Wetaskiwin, AB T9A0P9).
