He was predeceased by: his father Fred Roan; and his grandparents, Lazarus, Emma Roan, Anthony and Katie Albert.

He is survived by: his son Elijah; his mother Emiline Roan; his stepfather Joe Cardinal; and his siblings, Roanne Roan (Ben Saulteaux), Zora Roan (Aaron Tootoosis), Althea Roan (Aaron Chicken), Ila Roan, Dana Roan (Kristen), Ian Roan (Hanna), Ira Roan (Lisa), Lance Roan (Cara), Stuart Morin (Jazz), Vinnie Saddleback (Mel), Daryl Reid and Shaeleen Morin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
