He was predeceased by: his parent Helen Rode Lockhart (Carlson); his adoptive parents, Lloyd Christie (May Christie) and May Christie; his stepmother Erna Christie; and his parents-in-law, Alvin and Pat Watt.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Watt; his children, James Christie (Jamie Magee), Jerad Christie (Tammy Musiowsky-Borneman) and Jen Christie (Ray McCoy); his grandchildren, Brock Berger (Courtney), Dayne Livingston (Amber), Montanna Barrette (René-Michel), Brody Christie (Kierra Wuzinski), Kealey Greydanus and Mariah McCoy; his great grandchildren, Easton, Isabella Berger, Olivia Livingston and Oakley Barrette; his siblings, Alfred Rode (Glenda), Gary Rode (Susan), Claire Riddiough (Kevin), Ruth Magas (Brian) and Ann Meyers; his stepbrothers, Wayne Brown (Shannon), Bob Brown (Gayle) and Dick Brown; his close friends, Rick, Georgee Klein, Sallie Klein, Jorey and Meghan Klein; and his pet Chico. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
