He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Henkelman and Lydia Henkelman; his siblings, Ruth Spelrem (Ralph) and Ed Henkelman (Helen); and his great-nephews, Sam Doupe and Levi Busat.

He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Joann (Trent), John (Trina), Eddy (Brenda), Harley (Arlene), Ken (Ronda), David (Sandy), Lorne, Darren (Natalie), Sheila (Don) and Janice (Chuck). He is also survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
