He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sawchyn and Anna Sawchyn; and his children, Mitchell and Annette. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Sawchyn; and his children, Karen (Rod) of Hinton, Rita of Edgerton, James (Diane) of High Prairie, Sheila (Warren) of Westlock and Darren (Shonda) of Clyde, Alberta. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
