She was predeceased by: her son Brian Atkings; her parents, Michael Kostiw and Anna Kostiw; her siblings, Russ Kostiw, Mary Harwardt and Olga Friesen; her nephews, Edward Harwardt and Michael Kostiw; and also Ed Burlet.

She is survived by: her granddaughter Andrea Atkings; her daughter-in-law Alida Pituka; her siblings, Victor, Walter, Johnny Kostiw, Betty Craig and Helen Lavoie; and her friend Rene Jonk. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
