He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria Warkentin (Goerzen) and Martin Warkentin; his wife Nettie Nikkel; his half-siblings, Lena and Cornie; and his sister Mary.
He is survived by: his siblings, Elizabeth and Pete (AnneMarie); his son Jake (Val) of Barrhead, AB; his grandchildren, Jonathan (Briana), Shannia (Mark), Michael, Amanda (Matthew), Caden and Charis; his daughter Ruth (Bob); his grandchildren, Christopher (Emma), Rochelle, Joshua, Benjamin, Michaela, Matthew, Kirstin and Amy; his son Ken (Chrissy); his grandchildren, Lianna (Greg), Jessie, Levi (Kiera), Katlin and Luke; his daughter Carol (Kevin) of Brandon, MB; his grandchildren, Jeremy (Sarah), Travis, Melissa (Aiden), Andrew (Elizabeth), Stephanie and Curtis; and also, Adeline, Mary Jane, Annalise, Elizabeth, Daniel and Malachi. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
