He was predeceased by: his parents, Adriana van der Weele and Pieter Tazelaar; his brothers, Cor, Hank and Dick; and his granddaughter Summer Toews.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne; his children, Gerri Toews (Allan), Bill Bristow (Brenda), Don Bristow (Laura), Diana Cockwill (Greg), Tom (Dina), Jim (La'Wanda), Marty (Joanne) and Rob (Shelley); and his sisters, Mary Ekkel and Margaret Vriend. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
