He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stachnik and Mildred Stachnik; his siblings, Francis and Larry; and his siblings-in-law, Meron Popowich, Chris Duncan and Regina Stachnik.

He is survived by: his siblings, Diane, Edward, Bill, Ken and Serges; and his sister-in-law Penny Stachnik. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
