He was predeceased by: his son George Oliver Newman. He is survived by: his wife Nona; and his children, Terry Newman, Glen Newman (Peggy), Leonard Newman (Lori), Bruce Newman (Rochelle), Brian Newman (Sherry), Larry Newman (Melissa) and Lisa Gill (Thierry). He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
