He was predeceased by: his siblings, Albert Andersen, Trena Gibson, Olaf Andersen, Thanning Andersen, Calvin Andersen, Olga Cameron, William Andersen, Harold Andersen and Ole Andersen.

He is survived by: his wife Marie of Wainwright; his children, Chris Andersen (Colleen) of Calgary and Marilyn Ponech (Pat) of Edmonton, Alberta; his grandchildren, Kendyl Wood (Adam) of Calgary, Kelsey Taves (Cameron) of Kelowna, Mackenzie Ponech of Edmonton and Randi Ponech of St. Albert, Alberta; and his great grandchildren, Carsen Wood and Kayden Ponech. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
