He was predeceased by : his grandson Jay Simpson. He is survived by : his loving, devoted wife of 64 years, Evelyn Vardy, his daughters, Theresa Simpson (Bill) of Wainwright, Laurie Gauvin (Roger) of Fort Saskatchewan and Sue Heraid (Ron) of Elk Point, Alberta; his grandchildren, Roy Simpson (Mel), Jen Simpson, Bridie Green (Andy), Twyla Klassen (Trevor), Tia Tangen, Elaina Beck (Bobby) and Jeremy Heraid (Mandy); and his great grandchildren, Deklin, Colten, Sadie Simpson, Emmalee, Mackenzie, Alex Simpson, Kendra, Alexa Green, Trinity Klassen, Gracie, Ashley Beck, Destry and Zaidee Heraid.

If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta.
