He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hjelmeland and Jean Hjelmeland of Chauvin. He is survived by: his brother Lenny Hjelmeland of Edmonton, Alberta; his sister-in-law Susan; his nephews, Ray Hjelmeland (Ceilidh) and David Hjelmeland; and his aunts, Joyce Rasmussen, Elsie MacKay, Annalise Langstaff and Carole Swanky. He is also survived by numerous cousins, extended family and dear friends.
