It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brian Charles Nelson of Wainwright, Alberta, born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 5, 2021, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joyce Nelson and Bruce Nelson; his sister Laurie Nelson-Bloom; and his parents-in-law, John and Daphne Panton.
He is survived by: his wife Janis; his children, Geordie and Chloe; his brothers, Scott (Anna) and David (Phelomina); his siblings-in-law, Fred Bloom (Dina O'Meara) and Lisa Gaunt (Michael); and his nieces and nephews, Rebecca Bloom-Geddes (Glen Geddes), Andrew Nelson (Tugce), Breton Gaunt (Brandy), Sterling Nelson, Alix Kelly (Tom), Cameron Nelson and Connor Nelson. He is also survived by his many cousins and relatives.
If so desired, donations in memory of Brian can be made to the University Hospital Foundation, specified to the Cardio-Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) in the Mazankowski Heart Institute.
