We are sad to announce that on November 16, 2019, Adam Piwowar (Vilna, Alberta) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Adam Piwowar to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter and Kateryna; and his siblings, Pauline, Kalina and Roman.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Rose Marie McCready (Patrick) and Rodney Piwowar; his grandchildren, Erin and Sean McCready; his sisters, Sophie Purich and Lucy Elaschuk; and his sister-in-law Betty Piwowar. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Donations in Adam's memory may be made to the Holy Ascension Ukrainian Orthodox Church or Haying in the 30's Cancer Support Society.

“To adam's family my name is andy bohay. I met adam at gunnar mines uranium during the late 1950's. I had planned to call him this summer so we could visit and talk about old times. Then the covid-19 hit and we had to put the trip on hold. I just found the obituary about his passing and offerl my sincere condolences.i lived in vilna from 1948 until 1955..i fondly remember our good times working at gunnar. God bless you all.
