He was predeceased by: his parents, John Baumgartner and Emma Baumgartner; and his stepmother Margaret Stubert (Walter). He is survived by: his siblings, Carl Baumgartner (Bev), Emma Maxwell, Audrey Jober, Shirley McMullen (Merle) and Larry Baumgartner (Margaret). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
