He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Ball and Mary Ball; and his mother-in-law Mavis Fry. He is survived by: his wife Diana May Ball of Vermilion; his children, Joshua Ball (Stephanie) of Vermilion, Justin Ball (Yvonne) of Edmonton, Jeremiah Ball (Brittney) of Coalhurst, Jasmine Ball of Vermilion and Soon; his grandchild Baby Ball; his father-in-law Al Fry; and his siblings, Pam Davi, Bev Tobin and Kevin Ball As. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donations in memory of Donald may be made to Cross Cancer Institute or The Stollery Children's Hospital.
