He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Carey and Florence Carey; his brother Ron Carey; his parents-in-law, Tom and Gertie Beattie; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Beattie, Stan Hartwell and Derek Beattie.
He is survived by: his wife Doreen Carey of Vermilion; his daughters, Janet Carey of Vermilion, Susan Carey of Vermilion and Coleen Garnett (Roger) of Vermilion; his grandchildren, Kalen and Bryar Garnett; his sisters, Eileen Carey of Calgary and Alice Marchand (Harvey) of St Albert; and his siblings-in-law, Joe Beattie (Marie) of Lloydminster, Colin Beattie of Vermilion, Renee Hartwell of Vermilion and Nancy Beattie of Aurora, Ontario..
A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Vermilion Elks' Hall (5016 49 Ave, Vermilion, AB T9X1B7).
