He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen; his grandson Jason; his parents, Charles Mix and Beatrice Mix; his sister Florence Noyd; and his brothers-in-law, Jacob Schellenberg, John Schellenberg and Lloyd Schellenberg.
He is survived by: his children, Marlene Braatz (Abe), Evelyn Mix (Dan Parker), Lucille Reinhart, Carol Dyck (Del) and Lyall Mix (Julie); and his grandchildren, Scott (Stephanie), Rochelle, Christi (Benjy), Cole (Naomi), Jennifer (Bryce), Jeff (Laura), Austin and Evan.
