The memory of Mary Ference of Vegreville, Alberta, who passed away on December 25, 2024 at the age of 94, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Mary may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her husband Peter; and her parents, Nick Shankowski and Polly Shankowski. She is survived by: her children, Andrew (Jean), Raymond (Christine), Joyce Spitzke (Don), Jim (Kerry) and Carrie Hohl (Tod). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Elk Point Seniors Centre (5010 48 St, Elk Point, AB T0A1A0).
