He was predeceased by: his siblings, Leonard and Margaret Paranich; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Charchuk, Debbie Dziwenka and Linda Hawryluk.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Troy (Holly), Kristie Schroeder (Scott) and Todd; his grandchildren, Doran, Brenden and Payton; his siblings, Arnold (Kathy), Peter (Sherry), Duane (Cory) and Shirley (Kurt); and his in-laws, Willie (Gloria), Robert, Gerald (Beatrice), Doug (Lois), Greg (Colleen), Ken (Connie), Chris and Gary Hawryluk.

In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta.
