He was predeceased by: his parents, Dmytro Ulan and Julia Ulan; his parents-in-law, John and Jean Kindraka; his sisters, Sylvia Smith and Iris Fedun; and his brothers-in-law, Gene Harty, Orest Chomyc and Vic Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Hazel; his son Wesley (Deborah Haynes); his granddaughter Bryanna; his daughter Julie (Sonia Glubish); his sister-in-law Bea Kindraka; his siblings, Lovie Chomyc, Doreen Harty, Eli Ulan (Irene) and Jim Ulan (Gwen); and his brother-in-law Dave Fedun. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
