Though Joe may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joe touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jan Kurek and Malwina Kurek; his in-laws, Frank and Catherine Arsenault; and his brother-in-law Colin Arsenault.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy Kurek; his brother Stan Kurek (Debbie) of Hays; his children, Stan Kurek (Monica Bramley) of Grand Prairie and Carrie Kurek of Grand Prairie; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Paynter (Rollie), Bruce Arsenault (Anita) and Angela Arsenault of Tignish. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
A prayer was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (324 2 Ave N, Vauxhall, AB T0K2K0). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the same location.
