He was predeceased by: his wife Marie; his parents, John Balash and Grace Balash; and his siblings, Walter, Andrew, Victor, Lawrence, Peter, Steve, Annie, Eva and Nancy.
He is survived by: his children, James, Jeannie and John; his grandchildren, AJ, Johnathan, Rosie and Tammy; and his sisters, Mary, Betty, Gloria and Connie (Hilda Malychuk). He is also survived by great grandchildren.
